The Elkhorn Mountain
Air
Situated at an altitude of 5,000 feet,
visitors are often shocked to see that we can grow 100's of
varieties of flowering plants
The Gardens
The three acre garden includes
thousands of plants, some from as far away as Tibet. Visitors will
enjoy:
The Rose Garden
The Patriotic Garden
The Herb Patch
The Old Time Vegetable Garden
The Children's Garden
The Nature Trail
The Lewis & Clark Native PlantTrail
The stroll through the extensive perennial beds, shade garden and
begonia beds is a memorable experience. Pleasant paths allow you
to wander over six bridges, through The Wildlife Woodlands, along
the famous Prickly Pear Creek and over two small islands. All with
loads of quiet sitting areas to relax in.

As
summer turns the Elkhorn Mountains
of Montana brown, Tizer Gardens
along the Prickly Pear Creek
bloom with a rainbow of colors.
Belva Lotzer and Dick Krott
purchased
the property in 1998. In an effort to
get the noxious weeds under control, cosmos, poppies and other
wild flower
seeds were planted in large drifts.
Once friends and neighbors saw
them in bloom, the stampede began.

The Historic
Cabins
Two very unique rustic cabins are
perched along the creek and add to the enchantment of Tizer
Gardens. The largest cabin, The 100 year old Goldminers Home was
restored by the couple in 1998, and is now used as an event
center, as well as a change room for weddings. The
Hunters Cabin has become a favorite rest stop on the trails.
